Role Overview
Taypro Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced and leadership-oriented Production Manager / Factory Manager to oversee end-to-end factory operations at our Chakan – Nanekarwadi manufacturing facility.
The role requires a mature professional with strong leadership presence who can manage production operations while ensuring quality management systems, ISO standards, health & safety compliance, and operational discipline across the factory.
The candidate will coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Design & Engineering (R&D), Quality Assurance, Production, and Sales teams to ensure efficient manufacturing, on-time delivery, and continuous operational imKey Responsibilities
1. Factory Operations & Production Management
- Lead and manage complete factory operations, including production, assembly, testing, and dispatch.
- Ensure achievement of production targets, operational efficiency, and timely order execution.
- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with business requirements.
- Monitor plant performance and implement corrective measures to improve productivity and operational output.
- Maintain strong shopfloor discipline and operational control across all manufacturing activities.
2. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate closely with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure availability of materials and components.
- Work with Design & Engineering (R&D) teams on product improvements, engineering updates, and new product development.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to maintain product quality and compliance standards.
- Align with Sales and Project teams to ensure timely delivery commitments and project execution.
3. Quality Management & ISO Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and manufacturing documentation requirements.
- Maintain and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across factory operations.
- Manage and maintain ISO documentation, process records, and audit readiness.
- Coordinate with external auditors during ISO certification and surveillance audits.
- Ensure implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and regulatory requirements.
4. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S methodology, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to reduce production waste, defects, and downtime.
- Conduct process reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Drive initiatives for workflow optimization, automation, and process standardization.
5. Team Leadership & Workforce Development
- Lead, mentor, and supervise production engineers, supervisors, technicians, and shopfloor staff.
- Promote a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct employee training, technical development programs, and skill enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure proper manpower planning, shift allocation, and team productivity management.
6. Inventory & Material Flow Management
- Oversee management of raw materials, in-process inventory, and finished goods.
- Ensure efficient material planning, storage, and inventory control systems.
- Coordinate with procurement teams for vendor management and material planning.
7. Safety, Compliance & Workplace Standards
- Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and factory safety standards.
- Promote implementation of 5S practices, workplace cleanliness, and shopfloor organization.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices across the factory.
