Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team at Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of solar panel cleaning system installations. You will manage the technical implementation of both automatic robot and semi-automatic cleaning systems, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications from project initiation through handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive site surveys to assess project feasibility, confirm system requirements, and determine scope of work for solar cleaning robot installations
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects for both automatic robot installations with docking stations and semi-automatic cleaning systems
- Develop and review technical specifications for docking station MMS structures, charging setups, and table-to-table bridges
- Monitor compliance with applicable codes, quality standards, and safety regulations during installation
- Interact with clients to interpret their specific site requirements and represent them during field operations
- Perform quality control of installations, ensuring proper functioning of automatic robots, docking stations, and semi-automatic systems
- Collaborate with project coordinators and managers to address technical challenges during installation
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions when technical issues arise
- Support development of execution procedures and SOPs for robot installations and bridge installations
- Participate in site work reviews and testing procedures to ensure proper system functionality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Renewable Energy Engineering
- 1-2 years of proven experience in solar industry projects, preferably with robotic systems or automation experience
- Strong knowledge of solar plant structures, MMS systems, and integration of auxiliary equipment
- Excellent technical problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Working knowledge of CAD software and project management tools
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical specifications
- Excellent communication skills to interface with clients and internal teams
- Willingness to travel to solar plant sites for surveys and installations
- Understanding of electrical systems related to charging infrastructure for robotic systems
