Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Design Engineer to develop, design, and improve products, systems, and components. The ideal candidate will combine engineering principles with design expertise to create innovative, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop product designs and engineering solutions based on project requirements.
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using design software.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, procurement, and project management.
- Prepare technical specifications, design documentation, and reports.
- Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback into final designs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
- Identify opportunities for product improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization.
- Provide technical support during production and implementation phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in engineering design (depending on role level).
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo, Inventor, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and design standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation tools.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
- Experience in product development and design for manufacturing (DFM).
- Professional engineering certification is a plus.
